To Neuter Or Not To Neuter

May I just add from a guys perspective that maybe you can just leave him alone. I mean.. The poor little guy...

Thank you for your suggestion. I scheduled Shrek's appointment to get him neutered. He will be a new man, so to speak, very soon. I agree that there are too many animals in the shelter as it is.

Because Shrek is a sheltie x you should not breed him. There are too many dogs and cats being put to sleep everyday in the shelters. So I don't think people should breed dogs with out papers. It is also not necessary to breed a male dog once before getting him neutered, this will not calm him down as some people believe. The same goes for females they will not necessarily calm down from having a litter of puppies. Getting him neutered however can calm a dog down some.

I have a 7 mos old Sheltie named Shrek. He is not neutered and I am trying to decide wether to neuter him or not. We may want to breed him to another dog our friends own and keep a puppy.
