I still need to get Shrek into an obedience class. Then I would like to try agility. He needs something to do with all his excess energy.

It is not uncommon for herding breeds to become obsessive over chasing things. They were bred to chase so it is in their genes. To help him out with his obsession you need to provide him with lots of things to do that will help use up his energy. For instance agility. Agility is an obstacle course that the dog runs through as fast as he can. In order to be in an agility class he must first know some basic obedience commands. Such as sit, stay, and come. This training will also help to use up some of his energy.

We taught Fiona how to play fetch when she was a puppy. She loves the game. So we also taught Shrek when we first got him but now he is chasing everything, cars, birds, cats, skateboards, you name it he chases it. He is a little obsessed.
